After a devastating natural disaster kills young Hana’s family, distant relative Jungo (Tadanobu Asano) arrives in town and takes her in. As Hana grows into a perky teenager, their relationship grows into something far more physical. Hana (Fumi Nikaido) has become irrevocably attached to her adopted father, and she is determined to keep him by her side at all costs. Based on a novel by Sakuraba Kazuki, Kumakiri Kazuysohi’s provocative Lolita-esque drama is a disturbing, gripping portrait of forbidden love that refuses to make a moral judgment on its taboo subject matter. Winners of the Best Film and Best Actor awards at Moscow International Film Festival.
